Capsule for the Day

Life is full of expectations. We often expect one thing from ourselves and another from others. But there are some expectations that we can't meet and others can't meet either. For instance, we expect people to help us when we are in trouble, do we know the troubles they are going through?

How can they give us help when they themselves are in need of help. We have to be realistic in our expectations and understand others and excuse their inability to meet our own expectations. Excusing others and forgiving them is often the path way to inner peace and freedom.

Freedom is the ability to choose that which is good. In the case of expectations, the good to choose is understanding. The beauty of understanding is it bears the fruit of kindness. We grow and become kind to ourselves and others. We become empathetic and less judgemental.
