Capsule for the Day

There is so much we can learn from nature, and nature has a way of skilling us and making us grow and become the best. One aspect of nature that has a rich lesson is breastfeeding. As babies, our mothers breastfed us. We depended on them for our warmth and protection.

But there come a time when our mothers wean us off breast milk. That time is often difficult. We lost the warmth and the tender presence of our mothers. While it hurts for many babies to go through the loss, it is indeed a necessity. We have to let go of breast milk and eat solid food.

Sometimes too, we have to let go of people who have breastfed us and start eating solid food, the hard way of life. Relying on others for affirmation and encouragement has its season. It's like growing up, there comes a time we have to let go; we learn to live without the affirmation of others.
