Capsule for the Day

Dogs bark at people they don't know. Sometimes, when people bark at you or attack you, it may be that they don't know you. Perhaps, if they had known you, they might not have barked. Somehow, we have to excuse people and be kind to ourselves. It isn't all your fault that they don't know you.

Our Saviour Jesus Christ suffered at the hands of the Scribes and the Pharisees because they didn't know Him. They attacked Him; they shouted "Crucify Him! Crucify Him!" But He excused them: "Father forgive them for the don't know what they are doing". Thus, He was kind to Himself.

For many of us, the hardest thing to do is to be kind to ourselves. We tend to feel it is all our fault. We blame ourselves for what we have no control over. Sometimes, it is impossible to make everyone know and appreciate us, and even our story. We have to learn how to excuse and be kind.
