Capsule for the Day

Every passage of Scripture stands in relation to one another. Thus, we have the Word not words. We have One Body not many bodies. For all the parts comes together as many parts of a puzzle to reveal the Mystery. Taking a part to mean the whole is like resolving a puzzle by just a piece.

"The joy of the Lord is my strength" doesn't stand alone. It stands in relation to other passages and together, all the passages reveal the Mystery. So, what is "the joy of the Lord"? Our repentance. God doesn't take pleasure in the death of a sinner. But He rejoices when a sinner repents.

In other words, our repentance is our strength. And what is repentance? It simply means turning toward God. I repent from "rejecting God" (sin) and turn to accepting God. It means trusting God and building our lives on His Word - Christ the Lord. Thus, we become new creatures, living in God.
