Capsule for the Day

Goliath was a giant. He was a well built man with many years of experience in battle. He was skilled in the use of weapons and armour. He had killed many soldiers, captured kings and conquered many nations. His name commanded fear. His sight announced death. He was deadly.

David on the other hand was a young man. With few years of experience. He had no sword let alone a shield. He only knew how to use his slingshot. But he had great experience of the power of God. He knew God can do much more than we can think or imagine. He knew the battle is God's.

While Goliath came against David with his weapons and expertise, David went against Goliath in the name of the Lord. Does that mean weapons and skills are useless? Not at all! What it means is that God alone has the victory. If we let Him do the fighting we will always conquer.
