Capsule for the Day

"Holiness is God living in you". These words of Matt Maher have stayed with me. They are rich and reveal the deep meaning of holiness. But holiness isn't just a passive presence of God in me or in you. It is a mutual presence of God and I, God and You. It is God living in me and I in God.

This mutual presence is transforming. It changes the way we live, our perception, appreciation of the world and the people around us. Thus, to be holy is to live in God, live for God and live with God, and let Him live His life through us. St. Paul puts it this way "it is no longer I who live, but Christ".

We are all called to holiness, to let Christ, the Life, be our life. This call isn't just for individuals but also for families. For every family has the capacity to be holy. Like Jesus, Mary and Joseph, let's journey to the temple, to let God into our lives and let His Life blossom in each of us.
