Capsule for the Day
Crisis isn't an end in itself. It is often a means to something greater. Put it this way, many a time crisis is God's megaphone, calling our attention to something He is about to do. Crisis unsettles us in order to settle us. It is like a farmer plowing the ground before planting the seed. Crisis....
I have been in a crisis. It wasn't fun by any means. Truth be told, the crisis broke me. I felt forsaken by God. I couldn't reconcile His goodness with the reality I was going through. I couldn't just bear the crisis. But like every good drama, after the climax came the anticlimax... Christ.
Christ is always the solution to a crisis. It is when we take our eyes off the crisis and fix them on Christ that "the ground resettles and the seeds sowed begins to grow and bear the expected fruit". Can we see the connection between crisis and the ground plowed? They are about growth
