Capsule for the Day

What is the wind that is against your boat, your life? Imagine you are at sea and you are beaten by the waves. The gale broke and you are apparently stinking. No help in sight. You turn around all you see is the sea. The apostles found themselves in this situation. Fear siezed them.

It is typical to fear and even believe you are going to die. It's worse when you don't know how to swim. But it is also true that the Lord never leaves us to our fate even when it is of our own making. He comes to help us whether we recognise Him or not. However, we have to ask for His help.

Peter knew he was sinking. He knew there were no two ways about it. He can't win. The wind is stronger than his expertise as a professional fisherman. He is going to die. So, he cried out from the depth of his heart to Christ. And Christ saved him. He always saves us when we cry to Him.
