Homily - Daily Capsule - Fr Francis Afu

Capsule for the Day

It is easy for us to focus our attention on people who don't like us and totally forget the majority of people that love and deeply care for us. It is one of the consequences of sin. We are more prone to the negative than to the positive. Poor me! No one loves me. Meanwhile, God loves me.

Why the conclusion no one loves me when the Cross loudly announces "see how much I love you and how far I can go for you". Again, the consequence of sin blinds us or makes us deaf to the Truth. All we hear are the complaints of others, their malice, their envy. We don't hear the Word.

We don't hear the Good News: you are sons and daughters of God. Friends, there is nothing as powerful as the Truth, you are the son, the daughter of the Creator. It means you matter to Him. It means He loves you. So, when God loves you, Someone does. And one with God is a majority.
