Capsule for the Day
There are voices; the voice of encouragement and the voice of discouragement. Many a time, it is difficult to decipher which of these voices is the Good Voice. It is common to think that the voice of encouragement is always good. But it isn't true. The Good Voice discourages. It says No.
"No" isn't by default the voice of the bad spirit or the fruit of hatred. "No", many a time, is the gift of love. For love and from love, we say No to that which is contrary to the Good of self or the other. With love we discourage another from doing what is harmful. True love has the capacity to say No.
A good example is Christ in Matthew chapter 4. Out of love He said No to the lures and the temptations of the evil one. We don't have to hate in order to say No. And when we say No it doesn't mean we hate. True love says No. Our ability to say No when we should is the proof of true love.
