Capsule for the Day

See more! Hear more! Be more! Transcend the obvious, the familiar, the stereotypes and tap into  the unknown, pierce the opaque. It is about a new way of living and being. It is a way of life. It is a culture of encounter. It is a culture of reaching out and being with "the other" - neighbour

We live in a world that appears to be distant from the other. Economy and the balance sheet dominate our scales and values. These criteria don't allow us to see more. Or they prevent us from being more. We go with the flow and distance ourselves. We don't want to pick up the dirt.

But there is more to life than meets the eye. One reason we have to see past the presenting face, see beyond the wounds and meet the person bearing the wounds. The Good Samaritan is a good example. He saw past the wounds. He met the other. Jesus said, go and do likewise.
