Capsule for the Day

Stories could be a healing balm. They have their own way of soothing pain and healing wounds like orthodox medicine. They could also prevent us from life's injuries or they could prevent us from catching "the bacteria" that make us "sick". We learn from stories and we make stories.

One story that is worth telling is that of a man, Peter who shares a farm with another man Paul. Paul had a dog that attacked and killed Peter’s sheep. Peter was angry, who wouldn't be. But he didn't take the law into his own hands. He asked for advice from neighbours.

One of the neighbours gave him two options: take your gun and kill Paul's dog, but that wouldn't help. Paul will kill your sheep in return. Now, this is what will solve the problem, milk your sheep and give the milk to Paul. Christ puts it this way, return good for evil. It heals wounds, soothes pain.
