Capsule for the Day

"Nothing can come between us and the love of Christ", St. Paul said, "even if we are troubled or worried, or being persecuted, or lacking food or clothes, or being threatened or even attacked. These are the trials through which we triumph, by the power of him who loved us" (Romans 8:35,37).

Many of us go through life without realising we were loved into existence by God. We could live without any knowledge of how deeply He loves us. But if only we all understood what Paul meant by "nothing can come between us and the love of Christ", many of us would live differently.

We can't underestimate the power of self-knowledge. It can transform and liberate us. But to know is one thing and another to live by what we know. The purpose of this text is simple: no matter the trials that may befall us or even shatter us, we can triumph by the power of Him who loves us.
