Capsule for the Day

It gets to us many a time after we make a choice. "Did I make the right decision? What have I gotten myself into?" The reality often dawns on us when we have already made the commitment. Regret is a normal emotion at such moments. If only I had known... but the dice is already cast.

Unfortunately, regret doesn't help. It doesn't change the reality. It however kills our positive attitude and spreads around a dark cloud of despair... there is no hope. I am not good enough... I can't do it anymore. It is not my thing. I quit. But quitting doesn’t always resolve the reality of our choices.

The question is how can we live with the consequences of the choices we have made? As a person, I have found the answer in a prayer I composed many years ago. "Lord, I don't know where You are leading me in this choice I have made, but I know You, lead me on. For it is all about You".
