Capsule for the Day

In Medicine, there are different kinds of wounds. There are wounds that heal quickly, some that heal slowly and others that take a life time to heal. This distinction is true for emotional and other wounds as it is true for physical wounds. The truth is there are wounds we have to live with.

It is not easy to accept this truth. We battle with the reality of the wounds and also with the reality that there is no cure. The feeling is very much like that of an incurable cancer. It is devastating! It internally displaces us and shatters our dreams. It is tough! It is heart-breaking! It is painful!

And where is the Risen One? Where is He who heals wounds? Why can't He heal my wounds? The answer is He is with us and in our wounds. And He wants to heal not just "our wounds" but  "us", the whole person. Interestingly, He heals "us" through our wounds. So, let's surrender to Him.
