Capsule for the Day

There are some parents who are indifferent to their children. They seem not to care about their children's plight. Nothing really disturbs them nor pricks their conscience. They don't even know what their children are going through. But they tend to know how to indulge them with stuff!

These parents are good at meeting the needs of their children, but they could be afraid of meeting their own children. Unlike Mary, they can't bear the sight of their children in pain or going through bad times. They want the quick fix. And if there is none, they walk away... too much to bear.

Is this the culture of indifference? Oh no, you are missing the point. We show compassion. Compassion? Yes! We allow our children to do whatever they want. It’s their right. We don't want to hurt them. Really? Is this compassion? Perhaps, we have to learn from Mary... she met her Son.
