Capsule for the Day

There is always that "Wow Moment" in everyone's life. A moment when everything is falling into place. The right moment, we call it. Wow! We exclaim in wonderment. Is this for real? Am I dreaming? The details are fresh and clear in our minds. We can't help but talk about it. We are so excited that nothing matters anymore. It's simply wow!

This is the feeling that describes a man, a woman whose prayer is answered. It is just great. The Psalmist captures the feeling so well when he said "they go out, they go out full of tears carrying seeds for the sowing; they come back, they come back full of joy carrying their sheaves" (Psalm 126:6). What a contrast between planting and reaping!

Life is full of contrasts. However, it is always "a long journey" from a given experience to the contrasting experience, the wow moment. The Psalmist is right with the imagery of "carrying seeds for the sowing". For what else captures the feeling of the journey than the uncertainty of the sower! Patience is the attitude that brings us to the Wow Moment.
