Capsule for the Day

In general, life is a battle. We fight to live and it appears we live to fight. There is always something we are up against or something that is up against us. There seems to be no-battle-free moment. But the fact that they are always battles to be fought doesn't mean that we have to fight. Sometimes, we have to step back, and let the battle run its course.

There is wisdom in letting the battle play out or letting the enemy feel he or she is winning while you strategise. Military personnel make use of this tactic. They are always strategising, looking for the best way to engage in battle, to minimise casualties and to win the war. Prayer is the winning strategy for Christians. We fight battles on our kneels.

Besides, the Scriptures are full of winning strategies. First, "the battle is God’s". Second, know your true enemy. It is not flesh and blood we are up against, it is pricipalities and powers. So, forgive the man and woman who has hurt you. Let God fight the real enemy. Third, love your enemy and do good to them. Love always conquers because God is love.
