Capsule for the Day
"Happy are those who mourn, they shall be comforted". Tom is a good man. He is a guy one can best describe as "good to a fault". There is no limit to his good deeds. He is generous and kind. He loves to see people happy and to put smiles on people's faces. Unfortunately, he married a lady who was everything but kind. He suffered untold pain.
He was one of those who mourned. He groaned inwardly. He couldn't reconcile the rudeness that greeted his every act of kindness. He was pushed to the wall. He had serious reasons to break up with her. In fact, she even suggested that they should divorce. Tom weighed his options, but he was happy to bear the wrong and to let go.
His comfort didn't come in a dramatic way. But it came. It came in a package he least expected. Lucy admitted her wrongs over the past years and began the journey of change. She turned out to be the sole carer of Tom when he later developed Multiple Sclerosis. She looked after Tom with love and kindness until his death. Tom was truly comforted.
