Victory is the Lord's
Ekklesia is a Greek word meaning "to call out of... for assembly". God always calls us out of our own reality and assembles us so that we can experience the Reality of His Kingdom. It was in the assembly that God's answer to Jehoshaphat's prayer was proclaimed - "fear not, and be not dismayed at this great multitude...." (2 Chronicles 20:15).
Jehoshaphat in response to the proclamation stood and said "Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God and you will be established; believe His prophets, and you will succeed" (v.20). Notice the pattern "God's proclamation, humanity's response". Our response makes us ready for the realization of God's victory.
Victory is always the Lord's. But it doesn't come cheap. We have to hear Jehoshaphat. We have to believe in the Lord. We have to believe His prophets. We have take our eyes off our own reality and begin to focus on the Kingdom. For the Lord is mighty, and Holy is His Name. He is the God who never disappoints us, but always surprises us.
