Capsule for the Day
It is shocking how fast society is changing. There was a time people took particular interest in the weak, the differently-able, the sick and those battling with all sorts of stuff. Today, there doesn't seem to be patience for these people. If you aren't able then you aren't good enough.
It is a society best described as "throw away". We throw away things that are no longer useful to us and people too. But the soul searching question is "how would I feel if I am being thrown away". Somehow, we all need understanding, patience and support. Why can't we be supportive?
"Why can't I be for others what I want for me". In II Chronicles 36:11-23, God gives us an examples. Israel added infidelity upon infidelity, but God didn't throw them away. Rather, He found ways to heal and restore them. This isn't something God alone can do. It is something He wants us to do.
