Capsule for the Day
Why will silence be an answer? I am falling into a pit, I expect help, practical help not some graveyard silence that signals despair or announces my obituary. Why wouldn't God just pick me up, or close the mouth of the pit? He should do something tangible, something real. Silence isn't good.
It is interesting how we judge God by our own standards without giving a second thought to the fact that He isn't bound by our own ways. When we reduce God into our own categories, we lose Him and we begin to pray to a god made in our own image not the God that created us.
This god made in our own image can't help us. He isn't the Lord God. So, we have to let God be God; let Him work according to His Way - Christ. This later attitude helps us to accept silence as an answer - to hear in the silence the help God has provided; which is the perfect and timely help.
