Capsule for the Day
Could this be the cycle of hurt? Mr. A is hurt. He reacts, then he is angry that he reacted, then he becomes anxious of his reaction; what have I done? What is the consequence of my reaction or anger? It doesn't end there. He feels terribly hurt that he is hurting. He reacts, the cycle begins.
Could this really be the cycle of hurt? It depends, many will argue. But the reality is many of us have gone through the above cycle or we are in a phase of the cycle. It hurts to realise that our whole life is a cycle of hurt. We want to break out of the cycle. We want healing. We want to act, to love.
But we can't. It is as if we are cursed. We look around, we see almost everyone is happy. Why can't we have what they have, we question. Perhaps, we could try what Jesus did? In Hebrews 5:7-9 "He offered up prayers and entreaty, aloud and in silent tears, to the One can save Him from death."
