Capsule for the Day
There is something in us that tells us there is more to life than meets the eye. Something that questions, and searches for answers. Who am I? Where did I come from? What is the meaning of life? We crave for something or someone bigger than us. We want answers. We want them now.
But what if there are no obvious answers! Are we going to give up the search or are we going to accept there are no answers and settle for whatever life throws at us? Put it another way, could it be that life is all about searching? What if there is an answer but we aren't accepting it?
It is tough, isn't it to accept what we don't want. Unfortunately, our search doesn't always lead us to the answers we want. It often brings us to the answers we need, that is, our deepest need, our search for God... The Answer, which for Nicholas of Cusa, "is our desire in every desiring".
