Capsule for the Day
Thomas Aquinas was right when he said "From the time of the Last Super to date, Christ doesn't disdain any heart. He comes to every heart, even the heart that is defiled". This is as revolutionary now as it was then. For many believe, Christ only comes to the pure and spotless hearts. "Unfortunately", He comes to all hearts, including your heart.
We see this in practical terms in the story of the woman with the flow of blood (Mark 5:25-35). She was considered untouchable; legally declared unclean and unfit to be in the community. But Christ was present to her, defying the barrier erected by the law. He allowed her to touch Him. Christ didn't disdain her. He affirmed her and her faith.
"Daughter", He said, "your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease". He also affirms you. You may think you are unworthy of Him. You don't deserve Him. But it is up to you to decide whether He should come to you or not. However, it is up to you to reach out to Him, like the woman and be healed. Your faith reaches out to Him.
